Tomahawk rack launcher

History

Before the advent of VLS, the Tomahawk Land Attack Missile needed a surface ship launch platform. In the end, the Mk 143 Armoured Box Launcher was used operationally. However, on many concepts for the strike cruiser rack launchers similar to the Mk 144 Harpoon launcher are shown. This part is based on those images and artist impressions.
