RIM-67 Standard Missile ER
History
The RIM-67 was developed as a replacement for RIM-8 Talos and eventually replaced RIM-2 Terrier as well. The missile used the same magazine and launcher as the Terrier missile did (notably the Mk 10 Terrier GMLS) The Standard ER used basically the SM-1 MR on top of an large booster stage. RIM-67 was retired on the Vittorio Veneto in 2003. It has been replaced by the VLS launched RIM-156 Standard Missile-2 ER Block IV
