History
The Mk 112 launcher was an launcher developed for firing RUR-5 ASROC. It was part of the Mk 16 ASROC Launching Group. Some configurations of the launcher allowed the firing of RIM-24 Tartar and RGM-84 Harpoon missiles in addition to the standard ASROC. There was space for 8 rockets or missiles. The launcher was first used in 1961 on an USN ship, and first exported in 1965. In US Navy service the system was decommissioned in 1995, operationally replaced by the Mk 41 VLS and in some occasions by the Mk 26 GMLS
