AN/SPS-34
History
The AN/SPS-34 was developed as an lighter weight AN/SPS-2. Similar to SPS-2 it was a long range L-band 3-D air search radar which used a stacked beam antenna. the radar was considered to be an shipboard version of the AN/FPS-7 used by the USAF. Due to the low reliability in service of SPS-2 it was decided to not build this radar.
