Surangkana-class destroyer escort
Surangkana class was the first destroyer escort of Royal Ayhtthaya Navy (RAYN), built by Naval Dockyard but program very slow because the budget crisis.
HAMS Surangkana was ordered in 1946, laid down in 1947, launched in 1949, and commissioned into RYAN in 2 January 1950. Reduce cost by cut some weapons and sensers, armed new or second hand weapons and sensers, base on a long hull variant of Tacoma class patrol frigate, she was only a ship in the class (but number 2).
