History
The LW-04 was the first Dutch air search radar showing the elliptical radar antenna where they are known for today instead for the square antenna's of the earlier radars. The first LW-04 appeared on the German destroyer Hessen during it's midlife upgrade, operational in 1976. There it replaced an HSA LW-02
