The Texas Aviation Corporation is a Texan aircraft manufacturer based in Houston.
History
Texavia was formed in 1937 in Waco, Texas.
Faciltiies
Texavia is based out of Houston Hobby Airport, to the west of Rwy17/35. The facility at HOU manufactures 50% of all components and assembles the aircraft on site. An additional 20% of components originate from the Texavia Carswell facility, in Fort Worth. The remaining 30% comes from other Texavia facilities and sub-contractor facilites in Texas.

Chaparral
The Texavia Chaparral is a narrow-body, short to mid-range passenger aircraft. It is comparable to the Boeing 737, Airbus A320, and OAC xxx Series.
The Chaparral is Texavia's most popular aircraft model, with over 2200 aircraft, across 10 sub-models and upgrades, being built over a 54 year span. It is the only model of aircraft used by Southwest Airlines and SARE.
