Etymology
Far Eastern Republic, Дальневосто́чная Респу́блика, ДВР, tr. Dalnevostochnaya Respublika, DVR is continuum of the Far Eastern Empire which itself was distinction of the Russian empire. Initially the Far eastern population considered themselves as still Russians only governed under the Far Eastern Empire in Khabarovsk instead of St. Petersburg. At the late 18th century, Far Easterners begun to recognize themselves as "Far easterners".
