History
Sea Dragon, also named GBG-30, was an proposal by VSEL (Vickers Shipbuilding and Engineering Ltd) for an CIWS system. The active component was an modified EX-83 mounting, which was fitted with an fire control radar (possibly the VFM-30). The system used an Ericson Giraffe radar for target designation. The project was started in 1972 but was not publicly announced until 1982. Sea Dragon has not become operational.
