The Type 79 100mm twin naval gun (Chinese: 79式双100舰炮) was developed by CSIC No.713 Institute in 1970, passed test and designated as H/PJ-33 in 1985. The gun mounting and its variants are commonly used on Chinese destroyers and frigates built in 1980s to 1990s.
