History
The 152mm/57 Mk 5 was developed in tandem with the 152mm/57 Mk 4 mounting, which was developed for use on the Sovetsky Soyuz battleship and the 152mm/57 Mk 17 mounting developed for the Kronshtadt battlecruisers. The Mk 5 was developed for use on the Chapaev and Sverdlov classes and was operational from 1950 to 2000. The Mk 5 was a triple turret.
