History
The Polaris missile, normally submarine launched, was often proposed to be fitted on surface ships as well. The Italian missile cruiser Giuseppe Garibaldi was even fitted with launchers for these missiles, although the missiles were never delivered.
Each launch tube had space for one UGM-27 Polaris missile.
