History
The H Mk II was an hydraulic catapult in use by the US Navy. These were first used on the Yorktown class, commissioned in 1938. Capacity was 11000 pounds at 70 mph in 73 feet. The catapult was suitable for both flight or hangar deck operation.
An modified version was developed for escort carriers, the H 2-1.
