History
The ZW series radars were surface and low altitude search radars for use on navy ships. The ZW-01 was relatively conventional in appearance, especially compared to the innovative early LW and DA series. The ZW-01 first appeared in 1954 and was used extensively by the Dutch and German navies.
The antenna is stabilised on the horizon. The turning point of this is at the bottom of the foot, so the radar does need some additional clearance around it.
HSA internally designated this radar SGR-103
An improved version was build, designated ZW-03
