I have found some websites mentioning a proposed conversion for Iowa's that involves removing the bulk of the armament, installing hundreds of VLS, and adding AEGIS, this was last proposed in 1977. Unfortunately, I have never found any pictures for the conversion. I know it was talked about in Garzke's and Dulin's Battleships book. My question is does anyone have any other information on, and most of all, a drawing?
