The United Coalition of Independent Systems is the governing body for Humanity's expanding sphere of influence within the "Phantomsverse" (My name for the universe in which my books are set.) It was formed in 2076, 51 years after the first Human Faster than Light spaceflight. (Human FTL flight is based on Dr. Miguel Alcubierre's warp theory.)

The series is set in 2159. These classes are not the only classes in service, but give a snapshot of the capabilities of the UCIS among various types.

These images are done using screen shots of Sketchup models. If you look at the various images, you'll see that I played around with numerous ways of mounting engines and RCS thrusters. Ultimately the pattern I chose is that of the Queensland and Wolverhampton classes.

Here is a good example of the use of the Queensland-type engines/RCS arrangement. This snapshot involves a skirmish between UCSS Armstrong, along with Roberts, attacking a Banor (enemy alien race) Cruiser. Unseen in this snapshot is the convoy the two Frigates are screening.
