If I remember correctly, the flying boats were catapulted while still at sea to get the mail delivered earlier, and the mail was specially franked to show this. I should also think that a lot of pilots from the fledgling armed forces were flying in 'mufti' (like all those Aerloflot pilots on the big Tupolev's coming down to the USA over the Artic :P ). Anyway, need I say it - another excellent drawing - but please cut down on the Benzedrene :D
