Riverboats they played such a huge role in developing the Midwest, USA and during their height in the mid to late 19th Century. Though they are common through out North America shipping people and cargo across the North Atlantic, once inland great ports of trade at St. Louis and Memphis.

Of course when ever anyone should think of riverboats along the Mississippi they think of Mark Twain and his many of lifelong adventures and storybook adventures of what is in many aspects part of our past.

(my first from scratch drawing)
Oops rookie mistake made the boat ten meters too short!

The Chautauqua Belle is 98 ft (29 m) long and 22 ft wide(not including mast). She was built between 1974 and 1976 and was launched in 1976 as part of Chautauqua County's(New York) celebration of the United States Bicentennial. She is only one of five authentic operational steamboats left in North America.
