Hello again!

Probably the best cruisers ever actually built by the French: The La Galissonière-Class.

More to come as soon as I find some better sources about the FNFL versions; I could not obtain any even vaguely accurate line-drawing or big-scale photograph with sufficient details of the 1943 and 1945 fit of these ships in all the www. If anybody has the sources I lack...
...pleeeease share!

Greetings
GD

THAT. Is one sexy ship. Gotta love the absurdly large aircraft catapult on the aft turret. Wonderful renderation, Garlic.

Excellent job, my friend! However was this class not called the Georges Leygues-class? That's atleast is the name ive found in most sources...
As for the drawings, it suffices to say that they confirm very closely to the model of Jean de Vienne that I have, so, good to see them being done.

Wonderful drawings. I'm sure this is going to be another cracking thread.
I thought the Georges Leygues was the common class name too.

Just how well did the catapult arrangement work? That's a lot of extra weight on the turret rollers, I wouldn't be surprised if it affected fire control, not to mention damage to the catapult and plane when the turret fired...
