title says it all. the above one is still an WIP, but I wanted to show you guys what takes all my time currently, and to urge myself to finish her when I can.

due to the lack of experience, knowledge and time (in the middle of my exams) when I worked on these ships with bezo, I have not worked objectively back then. a lot was kept exactly the same as in miho's version. other flaws, like mismatching shading on parts bezo and I did, went on the uploaded version. because, after doing such an job on the perry, I could not stand the flaws of the drawing of this beautiful ship, I decided to take her up after bezo asked me to do some fixes.... but more and more flaws kept coming, and I ended up redrawing some parts.

the top version is my new version, below is as uploaded (without the mk 13). I am not close to finishing the detailing, so please don't comment on that. if you think the general shape of an part is wrong though, please notify me.

further progress. nothing but the bridge is really done right now, but the hull, underwater hull and most of the structure (except the hangar, of course, as I misdo something there and had to start that part over) is close to what it will become in the end, apart from some minor detailing. please comment (especially you, bezo) if you see flaws, problems or trouble, apart from the really minor detailing (as that job is just not done yet :P)
again, top one is renewed one ;)

THe ship's boat! I've tried to find a source that shows me that that is how it looks like! I drew my version out of the pictures I've taken of the Tromp during a couple of Scandinavian visits (Malmö and Stockholm). As for the underwater hull, I question your changes. The stabs appear too large, the shaft line and hull border just doesn't seem correct. I've used photos of the ships while being scrapped - close-ups. I think I got it pretty right the first time, so what's the deal? As for other details, there are plenty that I want you to show the sources for. But, alas, you've posted this at a very inconvenient time for me, since I'm both working and going to attend school again, so really have no time to criticize in detail; others will have to do that. All I can say is that I don't understand why you've done it - unless you really can present fool-proof evidence for all your changes, since I did spend a heck of a time meticulously studying tons of photos, plans models etc.

the official plans, which I have now acces to, were the source for the underwater hull. I would suppose those to be always more correct then pictorial sources.
the ships boats are to be checked again still, I might have made some mistakes. note that there are 2 different types on board, and I drew these before I had acces to plans. I have to note that what I am certain of, is that yours were basically still the ones from miho with some added detail, while the one from miho were old parts sheets ones..... and with all due respect, proved to be incorrect on quite a few points.

and the reason I am doing this?
I have explained you earlier that this is how I should have treated these ships from the beginning. not an basic fix of the original, but an thorougly researched redraw of all wrong parts, like the mast, radar, boats and funnels. you all left these as in miho's version with additional details, which I, especially with the plans and data in my hands now, could not stand anymore. I was worried about all this earlier, when we worked on it, now more then a year ago, but back then I was busy doing my exams and could not take the stance I should have taken back then.

also, something that should be said. you speak about pictures I have never even seen, and still we worked together on this ship. this only proves the reason why I do this fix alone: no offense, but it wasn't very pleasant to work with you back then. you kept references away from me while I shared all, and you drew parts I said I would do at the moments I was busy. basically, I have found no evidence for quite a few, if not most of the parts YOU had drawn.

now, would you, when you have time, please restate your previous post with references for them? I will be glad to discuss them then, but I now draw according to the references I deem to be accurate.
