Years ago I read a coffee table book
about the Royal Navy. It had many pages of
illustrations, each page to one scale, and it
showed all the iron and steel ships of the
Royal Navy from HMS Warrior to some time
in the late 1960's or early 1970's, when the
book was written. All the illustrations were
black/white. Every other page had descriptions
of each class of warship shown on the opposite
page. Every class of ship was shown, down to
river gunboats and minecraft.
My local library had it as a reference book until
recently, but now it's gone. I think it was called
something like Iron Warships of the Royal Navy,
but I'm not sure. If I knew the title, I could look
for it on the web, and buy it. Does anyone
remember this book? Thanks for your help.

Sorry I can't help, but this sounds like a real treasure trove :)
