you all recognise her? but not with the name? and what's with the rigging? and what are those holes in the hull?

simply said: this is the pearl that is filmed for the movies. all the rest we see is computer animated ;)
http://pirates.wikia.com/wiki/Sunset

while most movie sets for the PotC movies were barges with large 'ship parts' on top, the sunset is an 'real ship' which can move on her own. thus, I figured she would be suitable for the real designs folder as she is most likely an registered ship. correct me if I'm wrong on this.

the pearl as seen in the movies is coming soon, but that one will be posted in the AU section ;)

Pretty cool Ace! I think there should be more movie vessels represented on shipbucket. A personal favourite would be to see the Disco Volante from Thunderball

Sure I do, you have it all written in the notations on the template.

but you don't look at the annotations before you look at the ship itself, I suppose? at least I don't ;)

What always got me was that the Ship had been renamed SeaRiver Mediterranean prior to the movie's release - Almost two years before the movie came out in fact.

How about the 1,000,000 dwt from The Spy who loved me. Liparus I think it was called.

It, like the first "Black Pearl" was a dressed-up soundstage with water.
