Hi,

Thought I would try something small for my first attempt. I'd be grateful for any tips or advice, especially on colours and shading as I feel that that's my weak area.

Thanks,

HotD

I also just noticed your headings are seriously out of spec.

Thank you for the help gentlemen, I fixed the headings and changed the windows to Shipbucket style. While I was at it I also changed the hull shading which I think helps define the shape of the boat.

I actually used a technical drawing of the boat that I found on one of the lifeboat station websites and then used photos to fill in the details and colours. I've found it quite hard to get decent drawings of RNLI boats, the only other one I've found is of the prototype of the Mersey classes replacement. If anybody knows of any decent drawings I'd be very grateful.

Thanks,

HotD.

Hi Heroofthedeep; nothing much to add but just to say that you've done a decent job on a first posting; and choosing real-life elevates you to a higher lever i.m.h.o.p.
