Argentine Balao class Submarines

Summery from Wikipedia:

In 1971 the US Navy transferred further units in order to replace the previous Balao ships. Two GUPPY-type submarines were an interim measure until new submarines being built in Europe became available. Santiago del Estero (S-22) was retired by September 1981; however, ARA Santa Fe (S-21) would take part in the 1982 Falklands War. She landed a team of Buzos Tácticos (tactical divers) on the initial amphibious assault and weeks later, after a successful resupply mission, was spotted off the coast on April 25th. She was attacked with AS 12 missiles by a British Wasp helicopter and disabled off Grytviken, South Georgia; scuttled at dock by her crew, the submarine was eventually sunk in deep waters by the British some years after the war ended.

Argentine Balao class Submarines

Summery from Wikipedia:

On 1 April 1960 the US Navy and the Argentine Navy signed an agreement to transfer two submarines, Macabi and Lamprey (SS-372). Macabi was loaned to Argentina under the Military Assistance Program on 11 August 1960 and renamed ARA Santa Fe (S-11), while Lamprey was renamed ARA Santiago del Estero (S-12). Both were set to replace the now aging Tarantinos built in Italy in the early 30s.

ROCS Hai Pao

Summery from Wikipedia:

USS Tusk was decommissioned and struck from the Naval Vessel Register on 18 October 1973 to be transferred, by sale, to the Republic of China (Taiwan). Ex-Tusk was commissioned into the Republic of China Navy as Hai Pao, first with hull number SS-92, then SS-794, and finally SS-792. The terms of the purchase specified that she be used strictly for ASW training, so her torpedo tubes were welded shut before the transfer. The Taiwanese restored the torpedo tubes in 1976 and reportedly received modern torpedoes through Italy from a number of sources. As of 2021, Hai Pao was still afloat at Kaohsiung Naval Base, reportedly allowed only to operate in sea not deeper than 100m, making her the oldest submarine still within regular service in any navy.

ehh...

slight mistake, Republic of China (Taiwan), received to of them:

- ROCS Hai Shih (SS-791) (former USS Cutlass (SS-478)), still in active service!
Wikipedia wrote:
In January 2017, Taiwan announced that it would receive a retrofit to extend its service life until 2026, making it the longest-serving submarine in history. The submarine is still operational and reportedly capable of combat.[9] The $19 million retrofit was to improve the hull and the diesel vessel's navigational elements.
- ROCS Hai Pao (SS-792) (former USS Tusk (SS-426)), still in active service!

on google map you can find ROCS Hai Shih and ROCS Hai Pao, at dock at the Naval base, with a Hai Lung class in-between them

Side note: read about Hai lung upgrade on wikipedia... Taiwan have apparently not learned to go quiet trough the door
