My dear friend, whenever I get it ready, I sure will be glad to give you a copy. Happy to know I'm not the only one interested in this largely forgotten army of the South! As for more details, questions etc we can always pm each other too!

I had a great-great-uncle who was a lieutenant at the Battles of Kennesaw Mountain and Atlanta. Unfortunately, he was a Lt in the 37th Ohio Inf Reg't. :/ Fortunately my wife who is a Georgian born and bred doesn't hold it against me, too much. She says I'm a "born again southerner".

Yrs, Johnston's great victory over Sherman! A very interesting campaign indeed. If you have anything you think can be used in my thesis, then I'd be happy to have a copy of it.

I think it's rare to find someone who doesn't have relatives who fought on both sides of the Civil War. I know for a fact some of my family were Yankees but I don't know their lineage in any detail however.

I've never really understood the fascination people have with where and who their predecessors fought.
But maybe that's because members of my family have fought on both sides of the First and Second War of Schleswig, both sides of the Franco-Prussian war, all three sides of WWI, the Polish side of the Polish-Soviet war and all three sides of WWII.
(My grandmother obsesses about these things)

I just thought it was kinda interesting since I only live about 10 miles from the Kennesaw battlefield park

Like I said I'm taking a break - next will be the modern monitor with laser cannon. Gathering references!
