I know the Army uses M82A4 LAWs and Carl Gustavs but not sure on anything else... probably the Stinger MANPADS too. Maybe the Javelin but not sure (it's a little too high speed...)

I know I will end up reworking the FAC fleet - and will probably just go with a force of Saar 4 and Saar 4.5 for now.

As for OPVs, I'm sure there's something available but don't know yet. I have a custom designed ship (Challenger class corvette) that I might end up using, but it's fairly modern (I believe introduced around 2005-2006). Before that? Not sure what would have been in service.

Re: LAVs for the Army - good point, at first I had a Marine Corps that operated the amphib vehicles, but shelved that quite a while ago and the amphib role was never properly brought into the Army. I imagine they use AAV-7s (or maybe LVT-5) for amphib landings though. I've never liked the wheeled armored vehicles so probably would not go with LAV-25s.

I've always liked the UH-1Y and can easily see that being chosen as the replacement for the Alouette IIIs - but the problem is that I have already chosen to go over to the SH-2G (which is a manly helicopter let's face it). As far as I can tell it offers what a shipboard helicopter needs to do (ASW, anti-surface (at times), over the horizon targeting, etc).

why not go for the amphib and tracked, BMP2 ?

I don't have a problem with Russian vehicles but they do not fit the "nature" of North Point unfortunately. I use almost solely Western equipment.

as far as Amphibious, Russia/soviet union did way more on this topic then western countries - same holds for airborne vehicles.

now amphibious, you'll have a bit more to choose from when going wheeled.

Again, have stated that I will not use wheeled vehicles in that role.

You can use some Cadillac Gage Commando family for scouting and protection duty Colo, I think they fit well NP nature.

Considered the PzF3 but decided would just go with LAW, Carl Gustav, and eventually Javelin.

The Challenger class looks like a good corvette but from my knowledge I am not sure if it really fits OPV needs. I think it would be a nice compliment to a class of dedicated OPVs that traded some of the challenger's speed and fire power for endurance and crew comfort for long patrols. Also I meant replacing the aloutte with the uh-1y for utility and transport roles
Also I would recommend at least having some Mine protected vehicles or some type of special forces vehicles maybe.

Agreed - I will most likely choose some dedicated OPV to complement it.
The Alouettes will be in service until 2015 - then they can ostensibly be replaced by UH-1Ys.
North Point is not an aggressor nation and as such doesn't need mine protected vehicles to protect troops performing counter-insurgency operations. As for special forces vehicles I would assume they use the Land Rovers and Unimogs. I know the British army used modified Land Rovers for special ops stuff in Desert Storm, and the Rhodesians did the same with Unimogs. Even though I really can't imagine a situation where this kind of capability would be required. North Point's military is entirely a self-defense force.
