I'd say dark grey it for emphasis that there is a door there even if it's slightly over scale.

Another one I tried doing for my AU, this time the Sopwith T.1 Cuckoo Torpedo plane from 1918-23. Although I drew it so I could use it for Grays Harbor, I put this one in the proper (I believe) livery for the RNAS for posting purposes..

Seems to be right color.
Strangely enough this aeroplane (at they were known then), was the first torpedo bomber designed as such and was a single-sitter.

I did a search for German aircraft, Dornier and DO-24. Didn't do one for Dutch or Netherlands. If it is "hidden" on a parts sheet, well, it may not be obvious to everyone.

Anyhow, though, I withdraw the drawing.

I have made an standard grey version for you to make up for the trouble you went through

many aircraft I made for the parts sheet were all only posted over there, because I made those in just a few weeks, when I had the book from the library. that's why they are not that well catogised apart from that sheet
the DO-24 was designed for the dutch navy, though, so this will always be her first livery
