Very interesting. However, as a weight saving measure, I'd change the q and p turrets into an echelon configuration. Also motorboats, steam launches!

Yup, thats on the redo/to do list. I just re-found the victorian era boats (lost what I saved in the drive crash) so I'll probably do some fiddling with the boats. I just went with what I had at the moment, taken from another ship. I also noticed I forgot to put some topedo net booms on there, so I'll definately be fiddling with this one some more.

That's alright. I've drawn a few more boats, so if you want you may hold off till I've gotten a chance to post them. Besides that, how about my suggestion to delete two turrets and arrange the midship remaining ones en echelon?

That was one of my initial ideas, but I just kinda went with the "In for a penny, in for a pound" theory of turret placement and ship design. ;) I wanted something a bit over-the-top, but still feasible.

If you'll only have 12 guns for Broadside slavo, why not use the main turret arrangement of Ise Class?

The ship has sixteen guns. 8x2. There´s another two wing turrets on the other side.

You mean six centerline turrets, fore, midships and aft? Actually, I had never considered that. I just kinda wanted to do something with wing turrets. I know they were ultimately proven to add considerable strain to the hull, and were impractical for pretty much anything but direct broadside fire, but you have to admit, they do look really warlike and impressive. On occassion, appearance is everything and the practical takes an unfortunate backseat. *shrug*

He was talking about broadside salvo, I believe, not total guns.

My suggestion for this one would be to site the midship main guns on the centre line, moving the superstructure to allow firing on both beams; this would be the logical thing to do and what was actually used in real life :)
