I'd also remove the gunport abeam the fore mast. You really don't want a 32 pounder recoiling back and hitting it.

Thiel, that's true, however, I didn't even bother with that, since I'm counting on an increased spacing for the gunports to come.

Better. You can work with this draught. Now you need to add the quarter-deck railings, the foc'sle and other hull details for the next round, and, of course add the remaining gun ports.

You've still got guns abeam the masts. Depending on how beamy the ship is the guns might not recoil all the way back into the them, but it's going to seriously crimp ammunition flow since the powder monkeys and shot handlers will have to make sure the road is clear before they move ahead. Remember you're going to have a constant stream of people from the magazine and the hold carrying powder and shot respectively along the centreline. And believe me, running along a heaving deck with little headspace to spare is dangerous enough without hawing to dodge recoiling cannons at the same time.

Additionally you really need to clean up the placement of the gun ports in general. Take a look at HMS Victory or any other man-o-war that carries guns on more than one deck. Notice how the ports are off-set between the decks? That's because the ships ribs need to run continually from the keel to the weather deck and/or railing depending on the exact design.
Similarly you can't carry two guns immediately above each other since that would weaken the hull too much.

also, keep in mind that the lines of the decks (and thus the gun ports) and the planking of the hull do not follow the same lines. the planking is curved more then the decks.

Yes, the checkering of ports are important, except that both the Dutch and the British, in particular, used what was called crowding, either forward or aft to actually cram in more gunports. This was a generally not too successful concept and was largely abandoned after ca. 1700. the Establishment of 1719 does not show and crowding of gunports for instance. So, irregular placement of ports did happen, with ports sometimes being placed right on top of a lower one. (cf. the Henry, ex-Dunbar of 1656 for instance)
However, on this drawing it is too crowded, too asymmetrical, too irregular to be functional.

Also the gunwales often were pierced by the gunports, especially after ca. 1650/1660, when the rake of the gunwales began to lessen, while the deck-lines began to straighten as well.
