Great drawings!

I am a bit concerned with the rotating rings/booms on these designs. On the Rio Grande the radius of the rotating boom is 15.5 meters if we assume the deck is along the outermost hull plating. At that radius you need 7.1 rotations a minute for 1g which means only the most select people would ever be able to handle it and even then not comfortable. If you reduce the rotation to 5 per minute you can get to .5g. While this would take a good deal of time to acclimate to its possible for most people and they can operate comfortably. At 3 revolutions per minute you are at a rate most people can adapt to easily but you are only get .17g. Of course you don't need a full 1g to address health and endurance concerns nor to operate in so you can balance these out.

Another note, if you have one continuous deck through the thickest cross section of those pods (15m on the side, I am assuming a 10m width based on the wiki image) you are talking only 300m square or 984' squared. That's for 34 people...

Something to be concerned about with a small radius is a gravity gradient, the difference in gravity from foot to head. With 17.5 meters or radius you will have 1g at 7.1 rotations at the feet, but at the head its only .9g

Hiya,
These are great! I'm the original designer on almost all of these and it is extremely cool to see them in this style. If anyone is interested, I've compiled all the sheets I've done into some imageshack albums. New stuff; https://imageshack.com/a/oAXb/1 old stuff; https://imageshack.com/a/uL5y/1 and ancient stuff; https://imageshack.com/a/gDXb/1. Hope you enjoy!

Thanks Trojan!
Oh, and Shipright, the arms in the schematic drawing are retracted, when extended for cruising its 50 meters diameter;

Hey nighthunter! It's good to be back in circulation!

Oh, and in answer to shiprights question a few pages back, yes, there are vacuum only fighters, I've had one in the works for ages but never got around to finishing it. Might get this one done next.
