Well I did what I could, but here is the USS Watts, circa 1943. As by 1945 she was Measure 21, not the two tone known to be used both in 1942(?) and 1945. I edited it as per Colo's reminder, and now edited with the Twin 40, and without the bloomers.

That's well done, good work. The only quibble is that all underlying grey surfaces should be light gray 5-L and not the shipbucket standard grey as you have it. You're also minus one torpedo on the missile line. ;)

Also I have not taken up the practice of drawing bloomers on the gun turrets unless I can find very specific information (photos) showing it during the period. From what I've read the ship was issued with bloomers but the crews would take them on or off depending on preference I guess. I've seen photos of ships in the same MONTH with bloomers on or off.

Well she had bloomers in both of the pictures I found, so I went with it, not that I cant do another one without the bloomers, lol. I fixed the gray, and the lack of a torpedo, was your fault as I used your SB Gray USS Kidd, LOL. :D

Damnit I thought I fixed that, guess I missed replacing it on dropbox. Oh well, it's not that big of a deal.... besides if MConrads saw us putting torpedoes on the missile line he'd be angry!

Don't worry about barrel bloomers, if you found photos that show them in use then that's all the evidence you need.

Edit: Also, a quick check of NavSource reveals that USS Watts had 40mm twin Bofors mounts immediately forward of the bridge, not the 20mm Oerlikons displayed.

Hunh, okay, got a good picture of twins, instead of our old and crummy looking ones?

Nevermind, found the Kidd with the Twin 40mm
