Oh I agree travesty I would not be surprised to learn such a fact
I do find it a bit baffling just how many fighter types the Indians use
They have three new types entering service or beginning too (mig-29K Rafael tejas
One in production (su-30mk) two already in service for a years to come ( mirage 2000 mig-29 both upgraded iirc)
Three being phased out I believe (mig-27 mig-21 bison and jaguar though they are not going out of service this second)
And two more in the relatively early development stage ( a version of the PAK FA and
A medium fighter known as the AMCA
