No no we aint buying them.
We already got them, the first load was loaded onto De Ruyter like a few months ago.
This was for a major cruise to the west wich was canceled because one of her main engine's broke down (its being fixed atm)
The 2nd ship to receive them will be the Evertsen (according to plan)
This also includes the Tromp, De Ruyter addition of a 2nd goalkeeper.
So that the ships will have a full use.
And if the plan goes through , by 2014 all LCF's have:
No ECM.
2x Goalkeeper
Sm-3
(One of the 4) Tomahawk
Mitch, I know that you're in the Royal Netherlands Navy, and seeing as I'm in the Royal Norwegian Navy, I'm gonna say this as one ally to another, once and once only. I assume that the Dutch policy on information of an operational nature, such as what sort of armament Dutch warships carry routinely and other operational details relating to the warships of the Dutch Navy, is similar to that of the Royal Norwegian Navy, namely that unless you can directly link this information to publically known sources, you should keep your yap shut and think before you speak. Details of an operational nature are (at least in the RNoN) considered to be classified NATO RESTRICTED, and I assume that the same is true for the Royal Netherlands Navy. I'm also assuming that you've signed a Non-Disclosure document, same as I have, where you understand that revealing classified information is punishable under law. So, unless you can link to publically known information,
be silent about it. People don't have a need to know for instance what kind of missile load the Seven Provinces class routinely carry, even though they might want to know.
