I have a few improvements to suggest, but the details differ between the 3 ships of this class in late '41 early '42. Might I recommend choosing either West Virginia or Maryland or both (they were slightly different) for the December 7th representation and slightly modify Colorado for the February of '42 when Task Force 1 was formed around the intact Pacific Fleet battleships and the New Mexicos transferred from the Atlantic. I wouldn't use Colorado for Dec. 7th since she was in drydock. Let me know what you decide and I'll bombard you with more suggestions.

The Colorado does not represent december 7th, but 1940 and 1941 in general.

Karle, what about the two that were present at Pearl, Maryland and West Virginia? Gonna draw them too?

I know that you're working on WW1 battle wagons, but will you be doing the North Carolina class?

Here comes the Colorado as she appeared when she left Puget Sound in february 1942. Some modifications here and there, plus the Measure 21 paint scheme.

I have given the 1942 Colorado the new Navy Blue 5-N that I originally was supposed to give her. I have also given her a new darker red anti-fouling paint. It has been taken fom a website that sells paint for boats, and they have lots of USN colors. So now she looks even better.

I'm interested to see the site you used as reference for the hull color (I don't think it's wrong, just interested).

I'm also afraid you are still inventing details and being lazy about (pretty important) things like the fire control radars. Drawing a real ship isn't something you should be able to (realistically) accomplish in a day... I would be interested to know what the small items on the bow are, and also what type of radar you've mounted above the foremast (that is supposed to be a Mk.3 Mod.2 radar).

Your Kingfishers are also not mounted on the small running platform on the catapult.

What is the large overhang you've drawn on the main deck amidships? I have a feeling that's actually supposed to be a boat boom but right now it looks like a really wide platform...

Bitts should not be painted red on wartime USN designs (ever). I would also recommend drawing your own as it wasn't a standardized thing.

What mark and mod rangefinder is that above turret #2 and above the pilot house?

Why is the jackstaff drawn so thick while the stern flagstaff is only one pixel wide?

Did they really use Mk.51 directors to control what looks like a 3" gun immediately aft of the main deck step?

What are the box-shaped lines around the barbettes of turrets 2 and 3?

I'm sorry to tear the drawing down like this, but I think these are pertinent questions that should be answered...
