More destroyers cancelled

Following the cancellation of 8 severely damaged Carrywood class destroyers in May last year due to Hurricane Valerie, only a half a year later the last five destroyers of the class which were due to be reconstructed after her suffering minor damage in the storm have finally also been cancelled. Twenty ships of the class were planned to be completed before the end of 1931, but due to these major setbacks, only seven finished construction and were launched. The unfinished hulls were scrapped and sold.
