Its a little different from the color in the drawing. Using MS Paint the color in the sample is about 20 points higher in luminosity than the color in the drawing and a bit more yellow.[ img ]

At the beginning of the World War I Kaiser Wilhelm der Grosse was armed with 6 105 mm and 2 37 mm guns, quickly repainted and went off to her operating area south-west of the Canaries. There she took four British ships (two of which were spared because of large number of passengers) and, running short on coal, sailed to the Spanish Sahara for refueling. There she was engaged by small British cruiser HMS Highflyer and was sunk, refusing to surrender.

Sad waste of a great ship. Far too much of a coal hog to make a practical warship, same with most of the other fast liner AMC conversions.

Wonderful drawing in all iterations. But the military conversion, where's the 37 mm cannons? I mean, I might simply be tired, but I can't find em.
