It only carries a single battalion? Or are you talking about an MEF (Marine Expeditionary Force) which is about the size of a division?

Merely the battalion-based expeditionary unit. Major landings are not the purpose of OGW; a true invasion would be supported by other units entirely. We're almost volume-unlimited, but there is only so much capacity to move ground units ashore (currently something like 4 LCAC and a small pile of MV-22).

Corrections/modifications/etc:

• Secondary (flight-deck-angles) radar sets are now SPY-1A size.
• HF comms are now in place - I'm rather embarrassed that I forgot them. Six 35ft whips in bandpass dielectric covers on superstructure edges, all T/R capable.
• Outboard ESM installed. Arguably unnecessary due to wide spacing of existing ECM/ESM sets, but interferometry is hard to duplicate by other means.
• MWVR navigation sets have become peppered all over, which seems sensible enough. Surface search is important, and no reason to waste effective air search on such.
• Large portions of main ESM/ECM array have appeared elsewhere on the hull.
• Said portion of array now has intrinsic heightfinding capability.
• Fixed shading of aft-facing radars, etc.
• Some parts (eg main lasers) are now shown open.

Verusea Alternative Universe is starting to build up.

I had been fighting my own concern about the superstructure sitting too far aft on OGW (a look at the port side makes the whole thing look almost comical). I decided to do a volume buildup to see how bad things were.

Measurements are by hand and stations are about 50ft apart, so it's pretty granular and low-fidelity. An argument could be made that the sponsons should count against superstructure rather than above-water hull, but they would be very heavily built and it ends up not really mattering anyway.

BWL 1262ft aft of FP
AWL 1283ft aft of FP
SS 1310ft aft of FP

That's a range of about 2% of the overall length. Given the low fidelity analysis, and the large concentrated weights we can move around to balance the design (eg reactors), I proclaim her to be shockingly well proportioned.

I agree with you, she definitively looks well proportioned. (I imagine there would be tour guides for new sailors )

A slight update. Many retractable radio masts have been added on the weather deck (four each HF/VHF/UHF). Each band has one mast folding forward/aft/port/starboard; in this way, optimal skywave propagation can be achieved. They are intended primarily for casualty use, but would also be helpful in very safe waters to deny megacommie AGIs information on main comms lobe patterns etc. Helo spots are now USN standard, which look much better IMHO.
