Hmm... Well, I'm building a proposal, I'll show it off once it's done. Its something like that...

Could I get 12 heli's in?
Invincible can barely get maybe that number in, IIRC.

Does anyone have any ideas on its suggested capabilities?
Well right off the bat the 6 Wessex helicopters the previous poster quoted would probably mean two of them are on-deck full time.

Hangars take up a lot of space because helicopters take up a lot of space.

Well, what do you think of this. I'm going to have to build up the rear deck mroe to get hanger space in, but this is just a WIP for the idea.

And yes, it's heavily built of the kynda by Golly. If that's an issue, I'll build from scratch, but I really haven't got the hang on Soviet style vessels.
Armament is not fixed at all. I'm not even sure about the design yet, and whether an amphibious assault vessel would suit me better. Any advice is much apreciated.
I'm aiming for about six Mi-14's at this point... what do you guys think?

Also considering this, but I don't know how useful it is with the space for tanks and such underneath:

Again built of a golly design. Sorry.

Okay, I do apologise for spamming images. But, I think I'm done, and I think it's edited enough to add my name to it. With a large flight deck, the Lysander can actually function as a helicopter carrier. I also have an idea in mind to shift the superstructure to the side and give it a complete deck, but this'll do for now. What do you think:

Interesting looking ship- but where will the choppers be stored?
Maybe a hanger taking up 1/3 the aft deck, and a slightly higher funnel?

Enough room to store several helicopters, as well all the other sundry items necessary to work the ship?
That seems awful tight, it's not a very big ship.
Am awfully interesting ship- and one I quite like, in fact... but it just seems too small.

For more hanger space, what do I need? Extend the ship a bit? make the flight deck higher? It's only supposed to support about 8-10 helicopters, so I don't know how much space I need. The Moskva (which was an inspiration Ace) has a slightly longer and slightly higher deck, and supports 18 heli's.
