Superb drawing and a wonderful story. I think there are a couple of paddle ships in the bucket which might help you with detailing the paddle enclosures. Off the top of my head, I know TUG Director in the GB real designs folder but I'm sure there are others.

I wouldn't like to have had the job of controlling the hydraulics for the saloon... "Damn it, man! Your making it worse!"

I love the cross section, well done.

I remember reading about this vessel when I was a kid. A wacky concept for sure.
Excellent work on the drawing, and the cross section is a really neat idea and works well. You've captured the wooden panelling very nicely.

I finished the detailing on the paddle enclosures, the detailing isn't great looking but I feel that's the best I'm going to get it to look at this scale while still being accurate.

Excellent work of art, the cross section is indeed a bonus, while your explanations adds to this thread.
As a side note, the creator of the ship is the same inventor who had invented a steel processing technique now named after him, as Bessemer process.
