In fact - Noviks can be divided in 3 separate groups.
1. Novik > Bystryy (5 ships) > Orfey(16+6 ships)/V99(2 ships) > B97 (6 ships).
Bystry was generated by removal of the boiler room forward and as a result - shortened hull by 3,5 metres. And 2 GTU sets instead of 3.
Orfey was in the almost same hull as Bystryy. But had more powerfull machinery.

2. Izyaslav (5 ships). Backupped by Normand design bureau.

3. Gnevnyy (4 ships) > Fidonisi (8 ships) Backupped by Thornycroft. Those 12 had nothing common with Novik - absolutely different hull lines etc. The common feature was the general concept - they were 1,5 - 2 times greater than any modern destroyers any where else.
