Love your work, is there any chance you could do a RAF squadron badge of a similar size to the RN badge below please? I'd really appreciate it if you could, thanks.
Can I also please ask, with regards to the Royal Navy, how you know whether to use the circle, pentagon, diamond or shield shape for ship's badges?

Right now I have to say no to your request. I've neglected too much ship drawing for a long time, so I'll concentrate my time doing that for the near future. Besides it's to easy asking me. It will be nice if someone trying this challenge. It might come out successfully

For the second question the rules untill 1940 were:
· Circular frames for capital ships (battleships and battle-cruisers)
· Pentagonal frames for cruisers.
· Shield shape for destroyers.
· Offset square for sloops, aircraft carriers and submarines.
The rules weren't always kept (to example some carriers have pentagon shape instead of offset square!). From 1940 all new RN vessels have the circular frame. RFA vessels have the pentagonal frame and RN shore installations the offset square (though it seems to some naval schools have the circular frame!). I'll hope it gave you some clarification of how the different frames were and are used
