On the contrary, it's the difference between surviving the jump with or without your balls. Seriously. Viking made a series of tests a few years back where they found out that if you jump from ten metres with an uninflated vest, you'll stop before the vest inflates. From 15m you'll still be going fast enough when it inflates to hurt you pretty badly.

This is of course a rather moot point since any ship with this much free-board should have either a chute or a slide based evacuation system.

Since my latest update is on my extern hdd wich i dont want to open until its virus free.
I thought, lets bring ALVAMA a visit and see if he has a nice base for a frigate/destroyer.
And yes he did:

*Alvama's nationstate's frigate*

So i asked him if i could ''borrow'' it, and he says see what you can do with it.
This is what i have bring so far.
[ img ]
*i dont use attach file right now, dont want to give the forum a virus (if i have any at least)*

1x Oto melara 76mm.(or two, dont know if 2 is possible in a 15.8 meters wide ship)
2x Goalkeeper ciws. (normally 1, but a second one can be an option)
2x Hitrole (got to delete one on this side)
24x MK 41 VLS (vls harpoon has to be removed, just copy pasted that missile selection)
8x Harpoon
And some more small arms.

The ship is just over 150 meter long (longer then the LCF's)
15.8 meters wide (3meter smaller then LCF's)

Any idea's/thoughts?
*and yes i still got to modify some colours on the ship ;) *

I would keep it at least as wide as the LCF, otherwise a very nice ship.

Naah the ship would be to big for a frigate at that moment.
This ship is ment to be a nice small/long ship.
With atleast the same armament as a M-fregate.

Dude, it's way bigger than either an M-frigate of LCF. If you want it to resemble an M-frigate, make it smaller and shorter. This way it is to long for it's width

No not reassemble of the m fregate.
I said same weapon suit as m fregate.

I clearly see APAR/Smart-L combination, Standard missiles, secondary goalkeeper, two oto melara's?. Much more capable than an M-frigate (which is an ASW-frigate).

Warning, large image. And a large base of idiosity.

STILL WIP

Things to be added:
Rear view, update on front view (The sides are to vertical yet, will not work in a stealthy way)
Update on top view, and all deck ground plans inside the ship.
Tweaks to details on side view.

Next one after this, a update on the DDX. My last one can be found here:
download/file.php?id=487

The update will contain a revision to make it the same look as the cruiser. But with a different feeling.

Forgot to say, but all those room discriptions (Total of about 250 rooms) will be fitted into this ship.
Dont forget that it is extremely hard. It is a giant jigsaw puzzle.

If i finish this one with succes... I will be doing the LHD also.
