much better than nothing, Thanks!

It is so strange that such ships are so poorly documented...

It's a question of where you look. I have a few period books so I found this of Nella Dan, hence why I want to draw her.

@ Rifleman: the drawing is the Nella Dan...length overall 75.5 metres

(http://www.antarctica.gov.au/about-anta ... -dan-plans)

The Anita Dan is 93 m... she hasn't the helideck but an aft structure: here is a quite good picture of Anita Dan (from Shipspotting.com)

and of Nella Dan (also from Shipspotting.com)

... As happened for the actual Hendurance.
Do you know the name as "merchant" ship? I guess a Norwegian unit

sofar no names released as the tendering system has to run its course. rumour control says Norweigan ship in USA?
No descision on Endurance probably going to be scrapped
Protector was originally a net layer converted to Ice patrol vessel. Was also one of the 3 oilrig support vessels taken up from trade as FIPV(had a go at them from line drawings in Encyclopedia of Royal Navy)
