An idea of mine, maybe a follow-on to the Svealand class deadnought.
So what's the rundown? Well, Sweden wanted a new battleship during the '30s, and decided to use the old 283mm/45 M/12 turrets from some older, conveniently enough, scrapped unit. Somewhat like the HMS Vanguard.
Yes, I know this would be impossible for Sweden to build. I've been tinkering with AU ideas of a Sweden which possesses Norway and Finland(but I'm to lazy to come up with a good backstory, not to mention draw enough ships to actually make it a legit AU, and... yeah. The PD section is my friend), so maybe it would belong there.
I'll stop my ramblings, and simply present the ship itself:
Two funneled version
I designed it to fit in to and fight mainly in the Baltic(I would have wanted it slightly shorter, but what the hell). The main idea sprung from a statement on another forum where someone stated that 28cm guns were plenty for Swedish conditions, and that any bigger calibre would just be too costly. In that same discussion thread(which was centered around designing ships, mostly Swedish(it was a Swedish forum), several designs from the '30s re-used old CDS guns. So I thought: why not do the same for a battleship, using the 283mm M/12? And I did.
