No problem Odysseus1980. Make a good use of them.

This thread was supposed to be a one-off project, with no intent of being continued (as I wrote in the opening post), but certain conversation I had with Gollevainen encouraged me to revise this position.
In that conversation we had agreed that it would be good if some still-not-drawn small Soviet combat vessels were done, as well that some of those already done are rather outdated and need to be redrawn, and that because Gollevainen is mostly preoccupied with major vessels, while my interests are mostly about small ones, it wouldn't be bad if I'd try to draw them.
As one of the most pressing needs Gollevainen mentioned Pr.205/206 family, which now, after some delay, I have honor to present You.

First classes of the family were Pr.205 missile boat (NATO: Osa or Osa 1) and Pr.206 torpedo boat (NATO: Shershen). First vessels of both these classes were commissioned in 1960. They shared many elements, although Pr.206 had shorter hull.

Original Pr.205 have been already made by me, can be seen on the first page of this thread and remains unchanged. I have only made a drawing of it flying the flag of the East Germant Volksmarine.
Note that the listed pennant numbers are the "initial" ones, and later they were frequently changed for misinformation purposes.

In the 1965 modified version of Pr.205, the Pr.205U (NATO: Osa 2) began entering service.
It has been also made by me before, but I've added version armed with 9K32 Strela-2 SAM launcher.


In the 1970s some Osa's were upgraded to Pr.205EM standard with Rangout radar replaced by Garpun and MR-104 by Gals radar.


In the 1967 Soviet Coast Guard commissioned first patrol/ASW chaser on the Pr.205 hull, the Pr.205 Tarantul (NATO: Stenka). 30 such ships were built, followed by 7 more of the export version Pr.0205.9 for Cuba (3 vessels) and Cambodia (4 vessels) in the 1980s.



Year 1969 saw the commissioning of the single Pr.205PE (NATO: Slepen) gunboat. Initially it was armed with 57mm AK-725 gun, but in 1975 it was replaced by 76mm AK-176, although apparently sensor suite remained the same.


Next generation of the torpedo boats from that family were ships of the Pr.206M Shtorm (NATO: Turya) and Pr.206ME (vessels built for export) class, first of which was commissioned in 1973. Total of 40 such ships were built (24 Pr.206M and 16 Pr.206ME) and besides Soviet Union used also by Cambodia (2 Pr.206M) Cuba (9 Pr.206ME), Ethiopia (2 Pr.206ME), Seychelles (1 Pr.206M) and Vietnam (5 Pr.206ME).


In the 1974 first of the designed-for-export Pr.205T/ET (NATO: Mol) torpedo boats entered service. 2 were built for Ethiopia, 4 for Somalia, 2 for Southern Yemen and 1 for Sri Lanka. It should be noted that in the available sources several other project designations were mentioned (206ER, 205E).


Final generation of the family were missile boats of the Pr.206MR Vikhr (NATO: Matka) of 1977. In the 1980s single vessel was upgraded to Pr.0206.6 standard with installation of Uran anti-ship missiles and associated equipment.



Last class of the series are Pr.0206.5 Uliss (NATO: Bogomol) patrol/ASW craft, designed for export as cheaper alternatives to larger Pr.1241.2 (NATO: Pauk) corvettes. Total of 9 were built, 6 of them were delivered abroad (2 each to Equatorial Guinea, Guinea and Iraq - these seem to have escaped to Iran in 1991).
Unfortunately I couldn't find reliable drawings of these, and despite superficial similarity to Pr.206MR (from which they are derived), they are actually quite different in many places, so I decided to finish it sometime later.

Indeed these blend nicely into the soviet folders allready great levels of awsomness (:roll:)
Only thing that makes me wonder is that wheter the latice mast of the pr.206.6 could be done in same way (three pixel lines) as in the pr.205P ?? It seems to please the eye better IMO, but I just say this as a opinion, there is nothing wrong in the single black line version neither.

But overally nice work. Perhaps the ASW hydrofoils next?

I was thinking about making other masts "thicker" too, but when I tried it I didn't liked the result - looked too cramped with black pixels IMHO, so I left them only on the tallest masts of 205EM and 205P.

My workplan generally is going to be "one SB-scale project, one FD-scale project, one SB, one FD...". Within SB-scale it's going to be "one Polish, one Russian, one Polish, one Russian..." And of Russian next in my plans are - Your second suggestion from that conversation - hovercraft. But later... might be. (depending on availability of sources)

well, i trust your judgement over the pixels in the mast. Its the small details where one has to most follow his own intuition to get best results.
