Wow! You may be new to FD, but Your start is excellent. :)

Though I'd suggest to add lighter shade along the upper edge of engine and of G.59's.
And (optionally) maybe along the uppoer edge of the wingtip.

Hello again!

Something I've been planning to do for some time and didn't quite dare, as I'm totally new to FD... OK. I cannot say I have a favourite ship, but I certainly have a favourite plane, all the time since I bought the stone-old Supermodel kit during a vacation in Italy in the early eighties: The Fiat G.55, IMHO the best looking airplane of all times (although they quite ruined her lines by installing a Merlin engine after the war).

If I find the time and motivation, coloured versions will follow... sooner or later.

Greetings
GD
Excelent! mind if i repaint it to make some camouflage?

Wasn't this airplane nicknamed "the mustang killer"?

Son of a paint... :o

That's indeed an excellent start, you are not only awesome artist in SB but also in FD!

I was slowly working from long time on Macchi 202/5 but now I see that you will do a lot better job if you will take it. :D But stay back from Freccia!

Excellent work Garlicdesign. You've a fine taste in aircraft, the G.55 series has always looked good in my eyes and I've always liked the Merlin-powered G.59 best of all.

Gorgeous work! Hopefully, we'll see some more Italian fighters coming soon!

Anyone who wishes to colour any of the Centauros is hereby wholeheartedly invited to do so. I've never heard the G.55 called 'Mustang-Killer', and the basic version would have a hard time killing anything more advanced than a Spitfire V. The G.56 on the other hand could kill just about anything and probably was not only the prettiest, but also one of the best fighters of the second world war. Still, with only one prototype built, it had little opportunity to kill Mustangs.

And, even if this gets me banned for eternity, the Centauro looked way better with the DB605/DB603. PERIOD.

By the way, the MC.200/202/205V/205N and the G.50 are not on my to-do list. I'll probably continue with some nerver-built heavy bombers (Fiat G.30B, CRDA Z.1014, Caproni Ca.204, Piaggio P.133).

Greetings
GD
