And now, for something different. The Swedish Landsverk Lago II-IV medium tank, also known as the Stridsvagn M/42.

And the Stridsvagn 74 medium tank:

And the Stridsvagn 103 main battle tank:

The barrel was fixed to the hull, so the entire tank had to turn and tilt to aim the barrel. This was done to reduce the height of the vehicle. The 103 used the British 105mm L7.

I also plan to do the other Landsverk tanks.

Those are very nice! Looking forward for the Stridsvagn L-60!

Wasn't the Stridsvagn 74 considered as a light tank? That's how at least wikipedia considers it (look at the bottom template):

That´s the C version. What I´ve drawn is the original version. The Strv 74 might be considered a light tank by most standards. Anyway, I´m making a own design for a proper Swedish Cold War med.

Is there any external difference between models A and C ?

New engines for starters and dozer blades at the fron of the tank. Details are here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strv_103

I'd be rather concerned by the fact that Karle's Strv-103 is missing front wheel but instead seems to have hull extending all the way to ground at front. Generally that "103" looks very WiP to me, thanks to rather scarce shading (like on all this stuff in the rear-upper part of the hull).

@Indiajuliet
Nice work! :)

I know about internal changes but exept dozer is there any external changes between models ?
Sitarius work is very accurate in terms of C model, but your is very different in couple aspects and I wonder if there is such big difference in external look of this two models.

The A model that I have drawn is from the 50s. The C model is from the 80s with new equipment, including a new engine which necessitates some external changes, like exhaust and engine compartement. They also added extra fuel tanks that needs more space. That means a different look on the aft portion of the vehicle. I did add that front wheel, but the drawing isn´t updated. Now it is.
