After an evening of airsofting. the rifle I'm holding isn't actually mine, it belongs to the photographer, but I was too lazy to break the Thompson out of it's case.

Neither of us were...worth noting that neither of our outfits are actually Marine Corps issue, and to my knowledge, the color scheme is off (Actual, officially issued Marpat includes miniature Eagle/Globe/Anchor emblems included in the pattern.)

Efforts are taken to comply with the US regulations concerning actors and reenactors, in that uniforms may resemble, but not precisely duplicate actual military uniforms.

I see... well I am not a Marine so it's not really my place to tell you "don't wear MARPAT", but I have heard from several friends in the USMC that the MARPAT pattern is considered a "marine" item, regardless of whether or not it's actual issued MARPAT and that wearing of it is frowned upon. I personally stay away from ANY current issue equipment (ESPECIALLY uniforms) for this reason precisely. I am not in the military and don't want anyone to think that I am.

Old stuff is cooler anyway.

I have Marines and Corpsmen in the family, none seemed to mind *shrugs*

I want to put together a WWII uniform to go with my primary weapon, a Thompson SMG.

Either it was an overnighter or your weapons use propane? And the most important piece of gear I see there...the bug repellant. Up here in IL, the Skeeters and Ticks are vicious this time of year.

At the time I believe it was a gas-operated Hi-Power replica that used propane. There were also four people with me (hence all the gear in the truck bed...)

The training Ship in question. Currently a long term SB project.

Not Positive, but I think this is the ship that was at the Arleigh Burke commissioning in Norfolk in 1991. If it is, me and my shipmate went aboard and attempted to talk with some Russian Sailors. We gave up and just traded cigarettes haha
