Hello again!

This one is an ugly piece of work... but someone has to do them too ;)

Actually not french-built, but japanese-built to french plans, the Hashidate was the third and last of a class of medium-sized, rather slow cruisers which mounted a 320mm main gun. They were supposed to pierce the armour of the german-built chinese battleships, but with a RoF of one shell every half hour, they failed to hit them when they met the Chinese at the Yalu in 1894. They actually were more successful at Tsushima, where they did some finishing-off work (at point-blank range against crippled enemies).

1894 version of her sisters Matsushima and Itsukushima (both really french built) to follow.
