Beautiful! Even though I personaly don't trust lattice masts, and up until recently didn't like them much appearance-wise either, I've come to like them more, and they fit very well on these ships of yours!

Unfortnuneatly the Alliance did away with cage masts in favor of "USS Arizona style" Tripods mainly becuse the Iperian gunners would aim for the base of the cage masts to try and topple them over(making a sport of seeing who could send them crashing down to the deck the quickest). The Merrimack retained her cage masts until 1946 when she under went a major overhaul.

Your ships still exhibit certain tendency for too low decks, but generally You're doing nice job.

Topple cage masts? I don`t think that`s possible. The US Navy did test the lattice masts without ever bringing one down.

None the less the ANS avenger had her cagemasts and much of her upper works shot away during the Battle of Lembeh Strait in 1940 this prompted a rebuild with Tripod masts and the rest of the Alliance Battleships recived this rebuild and by 1942 it was a rare site to see an Alliance ship that still retained her cagemasts.

actually, I think it is easier to topple an pole mast then an lattice mast. I do not know about tripods, but still

The USN did extensive tests on lattice masts, and found they were nearly impossible to topple, even when subjected to heavy gunfire, but what wasn't anticipated, was the kind of damage that could be incurred due to heavy storms at sea.

I think the change was partially due to this, and partially due to stuff being stuck up there than needed more stability than what the cage mast was thought to offer.
